Aspirating
Systems

Aspirating or Air Sampling fire detection systems can be stand alone or interfaced with any fire detection system to provide highly sensitive detection with minimal risk of unwanted alarms.

These systems are specifically designed to create a balanced airflow with sampling air inlet holes positioned at specific intervals to suit the environment in which they are being installed and the level of protection required. A low volume of air is drawn into the pipe through the inlet holes and passes through the detection unit where it is analysed and an alarm raised if smoke is detected.

In today's business environment where down time is costly and detection is critical Aspirating Systems are an ideal solution as they detect the earliest possible sign of smoke, before a flaming fire occurs.

Larger areas and environments experiencing high air changes are often not adequately protected with conventional smoke detection systems. For these environments, Aspirating Systems are the ideal solution.

Traditionally, environments with a higher degree of pollution or with extreme environmental characteristics have also posed a problem for conventional smoke detection systems. Aspirating Systems are able to provide a superior level of detection in these hostile environments.

Applications: Telecommunications, Computer Rooms, Hospitals, Clean Rooms, Warehouse, Atria, Aircraft Hangars, Cold Storage, Function Rooms, Indoor Stadiums, Power Stations, Mines, Public Transport, Automotive Operations, Paper and Timber Mills, Manufacturing Operations, Offices, Heritage Buildings, Cathedrals, Museums, Archives, Art Galleries.

Our preferred Aspirating System suppliers are Vesda by Xtralis, FAAST by Honeywell, Stratos Airsense by Kidde and Wagner and we will always endeavor to design & specify the most suitable product to suit each individual application.
